Ni Hao! (pronounced: "nee-how" and meaning: "hello")... I'm in Guangzhou right now. We have been kept really busy and I haven't had much time to write.
Here's a list of the weird things I have seen in China:
- Dried turkeys hanging from the ceiling in the supermarket
- Chicken flavored Cheetos
- Rat-on-a-platter (blaa!)
- Enormous grasshoppers
- Shrubs and trees growing on tops of buildings
- People on bicycles with a cage of chickens on the back
Neat things I have seen and done:
- Riding in a rickshaw
- Indoor waterfalls in our hotel
- Climbing the Great Wall
- Beautiful mountains
In Beijing there were vendors selling things on the streets. It was sometimes scary when people would come up to you and grab you and try to sell you stuff. Sometimes it was kind of fun. I liked the Silk Market where we bargained for things. I bargained, too. It was funny!
I got my new little sister yesterday. She is a doll-baby but she cries a lot and I mean a lot! She has four teeth and more coming in. She loves baths but today she was upset until we poured water over her head. Then she was happy. Weird!
I was the first person to make her laugh or smile. It happened yesterday when I was playing with her on the bed with her stacking cups. She finally smiled and laughed at me. Yippee!
So long for now... It's time for you to be getting ready for school but time for me to go to bed. Weird!
