Magic... there's just so many good times that this game has given me I couldn't begin to list them. I started playing this great game way back in high school in 1997, when one of my friends, Daniel Shortt, introduced me to the game. It wasn't long before we had Travis Whitt and the rest of Pound High School hooked on what has come to be known by many as the "Cardboard Crack." My playskill has advanced considerably since I began playing, but I am a firm believer that you do not get better at this game unless you play with people who are better than you. My first mentor was none other than Brian Smith, one of Team Wiseguy's infamous veterans to the game. He lost interest in the game for a while so I began playing with Larry McKnight and Gary Presley on a regular basis, which is where I met Team Wiseguy's Godfather and Co-Captain, Jody Webb. The group at the time was coming from very far away to playtest at Larry's house, and it began to be quite expensive as far as gas money goes. So the saga of Team Wiseguy began when me and Jody broke off from the rest of the group to form our own group and playtest a little closer to home for our friends that had began paying with us. Team Wiseguy has grown into what I believe to be the best team of Magic players in this area, and I would hate to lose any of the members, because they have all given me some wonderful memories and I will never forget these guys as long as I live.

My favorite format ever would have to be this Extended season (2005), because I did exceptionally well and managed to jump my rating into an all time high with one of the most amazing decks I have ever played, Red Deck Wins.

My favorite deck of all time would have to be the classic White Weenie that Matt Linde won nationals with way back when I first started playing Magic. Me, Travis, and Daniel Shortt built this deck and played with it for years after, and if Im not mistaken Travis still has a very similar version of this deck built now. Like I said this deck is a classic, and holds extreme sentimental value in my magic career.

My favorite card ever... now that is a tough one indeed... it's a toss up between Empyrial Armor and Tangle Wire, but in the end Im going to have to go with the Tangle Wire. This card is simply amazing and has the ability to give a control factor to an aggro deck, giving it time enough to set up a perfect kill on your opponent while they remain helpless.
