Jon Caryle Stierle

Jon Caryle Stierle passed away on April 18, 2013 at his home in Milford Borough; he was born April 3, 1948 in Port Jervis, NY.

Jon was the son of Marilyn E. (Stierle) Chiappini who predeceased him in 2012 and the late Caesar Chiappini.

Jon was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He worked as a machinist/model maker at Picatinny Arsenal for 32 years. Jon was also a licensed firearms technician.

Jon was an avid outdoorsman and a member of Matamoras Rod & Gun Club, Wayne’s Sportsman’s Club and Westbrookville Rod & Gun Club.

Jon was a dedicated member and past master of Milford Masonic Lodge #344 F & AM/Milford and a principal of the Milford Hall Association.

Jon is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diane, of Milford, daughter Suzanne E., also of Milford and son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Lisa of Stamford, CT. Jon is also survived by his favorite brother, Ted Chiappini of Arden, NC and nephew, Chip, and his wife, Wendy, and their children, Lauren, Alanna Rose and Giannia of Asheville, NC. As well, Jon is survived by his aunt, Marge Stierle, of Sarasota, FL and cousin Butch, and his wife Gail, of Asbury, NJ.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Stroyan Funeral Home 405 W. Harford St. Milford, PA and will be private and at the convenience of the immediate family. Interment will be at Hainesville Cemetery, NJ.
