Cookin' Up A Storm!

HAMBURGER HOT DISH

2 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
2 lbs. ground beef
1 can (28oz) whole tomatoes, undrained & quartered
1 can (15oz) tomato sauce
1 jar (12 or 15oz) beef gravy
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. garlic powder


Cook macaroni. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, brown beef; drain. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, gravy, onion & garlic powder. Drain macaroni, add to beef mixture & mix well. Transfer to a greased shallow 3 QT baking dish. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 25-30 min or til heated through. (You can skip baking it if you want to heat it throughly on the stove, but I prefer to bake it as it sets the flavor in better.)

Yield: 8 servings




MACARONI & BURGER SKILLET DINNER

1 lb. ground beef
2 cans (14 1/2oz ea.) stewed tomatoes
1/4 c. dried minced onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. sugar
1 c.uncooked elbow macaroni


In a skillet, brown beef; drain. Add tomatoes & seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat & simmer for 5 min. Stir in macaroni; cover & simmer for 15 min. Uncover; simmer until macaroni is tender & sauce is thickened.

Yield: 4





HURRY-UP SKILLET MEAL

1 8oz box of beef Rice-A-Roni
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. chopped celery
1/3 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
grated cheese


Prepare Rice-A-Roni according to package directions. Brown ground beef, celery & green pepper. Add salt & pepper. Add to Rice-A-Roni & continue cooking. Top with grated cheese. Heat in 350 degree oven til cheese is melted.

Yield: 6 servings





BEEFY MACARONI SKILLET

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
2 c. cooked corkscrew pasta
1 can (10 3/4oz) Campbells Condensed Tomato soup, undiluted
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 c. water
1 TBL Worcestershire sauce


In a med. skillet over med-high heat, cook beef & onion til beef is browned, stirring to seperate meat; drain. Add remaining ingredients. Reduce heat to low & heat through.

Yield: 4 servings





BUILD-YOUR-OWN NACHO'S

Taco seasoning mix
1 lb hamburger
Cook seasoning packet & burger as directed on taco seasoning packet.

Dice whatever items you like on nachos & put in seperate bowls (or use a relish tray if you want to keep it all together).
Examples include:
Green pepper
onions
green onions
green olives
black olives
tomatoes


2 cans (11oz ea) Campbell's Fiesta Nacho Cheese
2/3 c. milk

In a saucepan mix soup & milk. Over medium heat, heat through, stirring often. (You can add chunks of other cheeses if you like, such as Velvetta, although cooking time is a little longer than if you make it without)

Bag of Nacho chips.

optional:
sour cream
salsa


Put everything on the table & let everyone build their own nacho's the way they like them.





HAMBURGER & NOODLES

1 lb burger
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 (soup) can of milk
1 pkg. broad egg noodles
1/2 tsp. onion salt
1 tsp. sweet basil
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)


Brown hamburger. Drain. Mix soup & milk in a seperate bowl. Add to hamburger. Add seasonings. Cover & simmer on low. Boil noodles per package directions. Serve hamburger mixture over noodles.





BEST EVER MEATLOAF

1 can (10 3/4oz) Campbells Condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 envelope Campbell's Dry Onion Soup & Recipe mix
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
2 lbs. lean ground beef
1/4 c. water


In a bowl combine 1/2 c. tomato soup, soup mix, bread crumbs & egg. Add beef; mix well. In a baking pan shape into a 8" x 4" loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours til meat is no longer pink. In a small saucepan, mix 2 TBL drippings, remaining tomato soup & water. Heat through. Serve sauce with meat loaf.

Yield: 8 servings
