I got Peanut in March of 1992 from a lady who was moving. When I went to the house to meet the woman I saw this beautiful cat in the window. I thought, "That can't be the cat - he's to beautiful!" To my delight - it WAS that cat! I fell in love with Peanut immediately despite the fact that he hated car rides & cried all the way home. He may not be beautiful to anyone else - but to me he sure is! (not biased am I? *G*)
The name "Peanut" didn't really fit him as he was such a big cat. He knew his name so we didn't try to change it. In fact, knew his name so well that if a peanut-butter commercial came on tv & they said that word he would look up! We started calling him Buddy on occasion and soon he learned that name too.
