"We are now landing in Winnipeg. Please fasten your seat belts." The pilot said over the intercom on the plane. My friend Lekan and I were on the plane from Calgary.
"I can't wait to see my girlfriend again! I'm so excited!" I said, I just hoped she was there waiting for me at the airport.
"Nick, calm down." Said Lekan
"Can't calm down!!!!!!!" I said, I couldn't help being excited. You try not seeing your girlfriend/boyfriend for a couple of months. Then see how you feel when you finally get to see them again.
"We've just landed at the Winnipeg International Airport. Thank you for flying Air Canada. We hope you enjoyed your flight."
"Come on Lekan, let’s go." I said. I couldn't wait to get off the plane for two reasons. One I was gonna see my girlfriend again and two I really hate flying!
"Jeez Nick, where is she?" Lekan said as we were walking around the terminal.
"She's here, somewhere." He said.
"Nicky!!!!!" I heard and I spun around. There she was. I kissed her and it lasted for a while. We stopped long enough for Steph to introduce me to her friend.
"Nick, this is my friend Joce." She had said.
"Hey. I brought a friend too. Steph, Joce this is Lekan."
"Hi Lekan!" Steph said, I tell you that girl has energy! But her friend Joce just kinda stood there. "Joce say hi!" Steph prompted her. I'm not sure if she ever did say hi because Steph and me started kissing again. When we stopped we got into my car. Steph drove that over. And we drove to my apartment.
We were all hungry so we ordered cheese pizza. I made them, I'm proud of that. We chatted a bit and Joce hardly ever spoke. I was wondering if it was possible for someone as jumpy as Steph to have such quiet friends. Then I got the greatest idea! Steph and me hadn't been out in a while and I could tell that Lekan liked Joce-a lot. So.........
"Let's go on a double date tomorrow!" I blurted out. We all thought it was a great idea-I think. Joce as usual didn't say a thing. We were all talking and laughing and Joce was just sitting there staring at Lekan. Is it possible? I thought. No way. A two way crush? Between Joce and Lekan? If it is, I thought then we could go on double dates all the time!
