"We can make it work! You can come on tour with us." Nick pleaded
"No Nick, it's not working." She simply answered.
"But we love each other!" Nick exclaimed
"I know we do. But this isn't working and you know it!" Deep down Nick knew that they would end up breaking up. But he couldn't admit it to Steph. He loved her too much.
"I know it's not working right now, but we can make it work!"
"No. We already tried. I've come on tour with you for a month and I can't do it Nick! I can't!"
"Are you saying it's over? But maybe that's for the best." He said. He wasn't that upset actually. Neither was Steph.
"Yeah. For the best. Come on. We'll be friends only." She said
"Okay. Now where are Lekan and Joce?"
"Don't know." They walked around the mall looking for us and they found us in a wedding supply store.
"What are you two doing in here? You've known each other for not even a week and you're getting married?!" Nick exclaimed
"No! We're in here for you and Steph!" I laughed.
"Oh......." Steph shot me a 'look'
"That's nice of you. Let's go now." Nick said and he pulled us out of the store.
"What's with you man?" Lekan asked Nick after we dropped the girls off. "Why did you and Steph want to get out of that store so fast and why didn't you make out anymore?"
"We broke up." Nick said simply.
"What?! You shouldn't have done that Nick. Bad move."
"I know it seems bad. But I knew that we wouldn't last."
"Okay. Whatever Nick. Drop me off here." Lekan said and got out of the car. When he got in his house he dashed for the phone and called me.
We mutually agreed that something had to be done about the breakup...and fast.
