LOVE CONQUERS ALL - Anon
once there was a pretty girl with an empty soul inside
she's "blinded by innocence", fake promises, and far too scared to confide
with not a shoulder to turn to in this desolate place called home
she's stuck in the past,
left with an empty glass,
and fighting on her own behind her misty eyes there lies a vision of a boy
he made her quite the muse and treated her just like a toy
he told her that he loved her and he promised her the world
while thinking all along that he could fuck another girl
the pretty one, with eyes wide shut, felt comfort from within
the boy would play with her heart-strings, and promise her again
until one day the boy left town without a word of why
he left the girl so lonely that she just began to cry
when four months passed the girl was still holding all the love she had
until finally, the boy came back, pretending he was sad
he said, "god i love you girlie, but i miss you oh so much,
i lay in bed, i cry at night, just thinking of your touch.
you're all i ever wanted, and you're all i ever need,"
and so began the girls own tears as he continued to plead.
his words fell pray to heart and ears, his message came so true..
"i really don't deserve this, i just have to break up with you."
no true explanation as to why it came to this
the girl was all alone again, still longing for his kiss
she had to stop that vision,
she had to heal the pain
she had to make him see that what he did was done in vain
she couldn't seem to do it, her words would make him mad
and so her little mind had darkened thoughts so purely sad
one night she sat beneath the stars with tears staining her face,
his picture in her locket and a wish to leave this place
she prayed for some forgiveness, and healing when she's gone,
but she would rather kill herself than be another pawn.
and so she left her testament of pain written in pen
then went inside and offed herself,
her corpse found in the den
her letter was so real, but what stuck out so proud and tall
is at the bottom she wrote the words, "love conquers all."
