Becoming A Marine Animal Trainer

Qualifications to train marine mammals at the National Aquarium in Baltimore are as follows:

*A bachelors degree in biology, marine biology, animal science, psychology, zoology or any other related field.

*Strong swimming skills.

*Strong public speaking skills.

*SCUBA certification.

Activities that will help:

*Experience working with animals.Different ways to achieve this would be to volunteer or intern at zoos or aquariums, or work in a veterinary office or at a horse farm.

*Participate in local animal stranding networks.
