Built by Dan Haggerty
(If you look close you can see him in the Hippie Commune scenes)
Their were a total of eight bikes built for the movie
4 Billy Bikes and 4 Captain America's
Some were stolen and the rest parted out after production.
EXCEPT!!
1 Captain America that Haggerty kept and alledgedly sold in 1986
All the above is unconfirmed.

Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man

1989 Harley Davidson FXR
Wideglide dualdisk frontend
6" riser with drag bar
5 gal softail gas tank
The bike was actually not made for the movie. Mickey Rourke
drew the bike up on a cocktail napkin and when the producers
saw the idea they thought it was perfect for the movie.
The tank graphic was designed by Mickey himself but the
actual artist is a secret. The initials on the cards stand for a special friend of Mickey's.
The final product ended up in it's current unfinished state(note primer paint job)
because Mickey walked in about half way through production
and said "That's exactely what I want!".
