James in North America
I know that everyone is quite excited about James' new album. In fact a lot of people have already been put on waiting lists. But there is one problem. Not for the people in UK. Their record stores are going to receive James' new album with no problems, right on schedule. But here in Canada, and even the US, who knows if "Millionaires," will even come out. You see, Mercury dropped James (or so I heard. It could very well be the other way around), and since they were James' label in North America, James will have to delay their production of the Album in North America. However they are fishing for a new label, or another contract with Mercury, and as soon as they get it, "Millionaires," will be out into the market. For now however if you are impatient and want the album as soon as possible, you can of course check the net for the album. Just go to www.eclipse.net/~stutter/faq.html and there you will find a whole bunch of stores online that carry James CD's.
Also there is a great site, actually it is a British Radio station, where with a Real Player you can listen to the station live. It is great if you love great music but are having trouble finding it on your local stations. www.xfm.co.uk
You can get the Real Player at www.real.com
Album Release
The album itself is scheduled for released sometime in mid October (in the UK). Critics that have already heard the album are saying that it may be the best one James ever created. I still think it will be Seven, but if it is what people are saying and expecting it to be than it must be pretty damn good. Brian Eno is back producing a majority of the album, and so far Eno has not failed. Others joining Eno in production are, Dave Bascombe, Ben Fenner, Steve Osborne. Oh and did I forget to mention Sinead O'Connor. That's right Sinead O'Connor. She produced Afro Lover, and sang backup on "vervacious." The CD will contain the following tracks in order:
Surprise, Fred Astaire, I Know What I'm Here For, Afro Lover,If Anybody Hurts You, Strangers, Someone's Got It In 4 Me,Crash,Dumb Jam,Hello,Vervacious.
