Note: Although the previous sites, as well as Global Reiki Masters, offer free distant Reiki attunements, including Master Level, there is a lot of discussion in the Reiki community about this practice. One may receive the attunements by distance, for free, however information as to what to expect from an attunement (i.e., the post-attunement cleansing period, etc.), technical information about practicing Reiki (i.e., doing Reiki healing), training manuals, and the close relationship with a Reiki master are not included. Many Reiki Masters feel that this is not an optimal method of obtaining Reiki attunements, for these and other reasons. (If you cannot find a Reiki master in your area, there are a number of Reiki Masters who conduct thorough distance training by mail or over the Internet, providing a relationship with a Reiki Master, as well as a specific forum for the trainee's questions and concerns.)
