My Visits to Cooperstown
I have decided to scan those items that I was able to have signed in-person while visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame.
I had been meaning to add the Cooperstown page for some time, I have made it to two induction weekends. What fun it was talking to all the other collectors and I must say that everyone in Cooperstown was so friendly. I think of it as a slice of Mayberry. I hope to go back soon. Now unfortunately, the HOF'ers that signed for me all charged a fee or I should say that the shop dealers all charged a fee. Its possible for children to get free signatures, the HOF offers free signings for kids during induction weekend. Also, from other collectors that I have talked to at Cooperstown its sometimes possible to run across HOF'ers on the street and have them sign but I was never that lucky.
Often times the HOF'ers that I encountered often drove up to the shops or some (Reggie Jackson for example) had limousines.
