Moffatt News
The Moffatts will NOT be recording a theme song for the Scooby Doo movie. On the Hit List they said that there was not enough time for them to do it because of their new album coming out soon.
The Moffatts will be hosting the Juno Awards this year! Obviously being there last year helped out the Juno's ratings so they're back! They will be hosting and performing on March 12, 2000, in Toronto. Apparently the tickets are going for around $82 each....but that's really not bad considering you get to see the Moffatts so much plus a lot of other celebs. And think about it, Ricky Martin tickets are $100!
The Moffatts second All Access Hit List special will air on YTV on February 4th and 5th. Don't miss it!
We watched the show "A George Fox Christmas" on CBC on Wednesday. The acting was so fake, Shira even noticed that the same extras were in almost every scene. Of course, they left the Moffatts 'till the end, this way they'd get higher ratings. The fact that the Moffatts did all country Christmas songs from when they were kids was dumb. If someone who doesn't know who the Moffatts are and was watching the show (who on earth would watch the show if they weren't watching it for the Moffatts!?) would think the Moffatts were still country and only sang those types of songs. It's a very good thing that Scott and Bob got hair cuts. This They dressed nicely, however Dave should have taken off his scarf! We don't think we really have to say any more about the rest of the show!
Moffs are taping for Disney's "So Weird" on November 4th (Ashley's B'day!) We don't know the air date yet, so if you know, let us know.
Apparently the Moffatts come by there love for music genetically! Frank Moffatt was in a band when he was younger, and he performed at Ritchie Junior High in Edmonton!
So. The Much Music Video Awards. There was a bit of a mixed reaction to it. Both of us, Shira and Ashley, were not too impressed. We thought it was one of the worst we've seen! WHAT did Scott think he was doing? Dave too. Obviously those 2 decided to do something crazy. But really! Other people we've talked to thought it was hilarious. Others thought it was a clear admission to being gay! (We sure hope not)! One person said (about Scott): "Anyone who wears an outfit like that must have a lot of self confidence!" I think we'll leave it at that.
As you probably know, there is a book out about our Moffatts! It's available all over the place, you can even order it on the net if you want! This is what it looks like:
So the Moffatts were on Hang Time on September 18th. Well. I (Shira) would just like to say that it did not make much sense! The whole time in the show, a character "Mary Beth" was trying to get this guy to sign the band she managed or whatever (get them gigs or something) and he was always on the phone being like "I WANT THE MOFFATTS!" (Although it sounded like he was saying "Muffetts"). OK, so the guy never signed Mary Beth's band, so she decided to make her own concert, with her band and the Moffatts! So my question is, how exactly did SHE get the Moffatts if the other guy couldn't??? Whatever! So they lip-synced to Girl Of My Dreams, with parts cut out. Nothing too special. And there were a few little lines for them to say. If this reflects their acting talent, well, I can hardly wait to see what they'll be like in the movie! LOL!
The Moffatts Debut at #124 on the Top 200 Current Albums Chart & #3 on The Top New Artists Albums Chart.
