Almost ten (10) years ago I found a kitten, alone and abandoned under a trailer. She was approximately 4 weeks old, starving and frightened. She was white (but dirty) and grey. Her right eye was swollen shut. I was so touched by her loving behavior, I just had had to take her in! I mmediately took her to the vet, who gave her medicine. He didnt think she would survive long due to her frail health. With a little TLC and bottle feedings (yes bottle feedings!) in the middle of the night, she came around. Her name is "Seger" She is now nearly 10 years old and weighs almost 20 lbs! She is without a doubt THE cat with the MOST attitude ever! She still suffers from ASTHMA and a poor respiratory system whcih requires prednisone, and brethine (obtained at your local pharmacy) to keep her breathing easier. I have made at least 20 emergency trips to the VET during severe asthma attacks. Shes been on oxygen more than half-dozen times! But thru it all she has remained with that special attitude that makes me love her so much. I have cried a million tears for her when shes been so ill they thought she would die. But she has fooled them all. I never know where she's going to hide. I find her under my bed, in the dryer, in closets, in the cupbaords, on the fridge, and under the couch. She loves resting on my Jeep when weather permits too! I really don't know what I am going to do when she does pass on to that "Kitty Heaven". I know it will crush me as shes been my solid companion for 10 years!
