History

The five young men who make up ‘N Sync came from all over the US to form a band in Orlando, FL that then became an overnight sensation in Germany. Joey, Chris, JC, Justin, and Lance have come together with a self-titled RCA Records album. The record was produced by several top-name Europop producers, including Denniz Pop, and has had several giant smash hits.

Although their faces are plastered all over music, teen magazines, and other types of merchandise (ex. pens, T-Shirts, jewelry, etc.), ‘N Sync are not just your ordinary teen idol. All being show business veterans, the group are accomplished singers and dancers who have studied under the same choreographer who has worked with Prince and Michael Jackson.

The group's roots are based in the Orlando meeting of Washington DC born JC Chasez and Memphis TN native Justin Timberlake on the set of the Disney Channel show, "The Mickey Mouse Club (MMC)". After the show ended, JC and Justin found themselves in Nashville at the same time working with the same vocal coach and writers. Justin was then called back to Orlando, where he met the Pittsburgh, PA born Chris Kirkpatrick. The trio then met New Yorker Joey Fatone at a local club.

Inspired, the quartet decided to form a band and started looking for a bass voice. Through Justin's vocal coach in Tennessee, the group hooked up with the blonde-haired, green-eyed 18-year-old hailing from Clinton, Mississippi named James Lance Bass AKA Lance who fit right in with the group. They may have come from all over, but Joey, Chris, JC, Justin, and Lance immediately discovered that they were ‘N Sync.
