Desktop Decor, page 2 This is Page Two. This is where the old ones go. The old images, I mean. Not old people.

Alien Prisons
Metalloid cages dot a water-like body of liquid. True, you could get out, but where would you go?

Journey Through Fire Valley
It may look like a hopeless sojourn, but in a second he'll be wisked away by a helicopter and be treated to a continental breakfast at the nearest Holiday Inn.

Bubble Vision
Doesn't this give you that warm, bubbly feeling? It's like an abstract-minimalist seascape. Or an ocean of yellow seltzer...

Neurons of a Clown
(This is actually a fractal.) It makes you wonder what kind of chemical imbalances must be lurking around the colorful tendrils of Bozo's brain cells...

Doughnuts In Spaaaaace...
They look like habitats, but I wouldn't want to live in one. Tumbling mindlessly through space isn't my idea of a rollicking good time.

Andromeda Isles
I think the sphere/ring things are exploring ships, but they can be whatever you think they are. The galaxy in the background is the Andromeda Galaxy, hence the name.

Green Space Island
I don't know how it got there, but it's green and there's a nifty sun/flare thing in the corner. If you're a Mac user, the flare will be under your harddrive icon, and you can brag to your friends about it. If you're a Windoze user, it'll just look stupid...unless you flip it maybe.

Invisiland
Clearly a transparent land of glass or ghost.

Alien Probes
It's our favorite little goobers again! This time they've found Mordor's planet.

Three Sky Islands
Three islands floating above an ocean. "Why?" you ask...they're hydraphobic.

Just Beachy
You're actually under an umbrella on a small volcanic island, and if you can't see that, I don't blame you.

Groovy Glass Ball Reunion
It's groovy on so many levels...

Saturday Night Virus
It's more than a fever; it's infectious. And it has pretty colors and shiny things. And that's why I like it. I also like disco, and I have a cocker spaniel named Breezy. So now you know. ::sob:: ::sob:: Had a cocker spaniel! Waaaah!

The X and the Spots
I'm so sure this is a logo for something all ready. And you have to admit, it's cool. (Reflection, people! Reflections!)

Brook-side Meadow
This one is for Amber. It's cheery and relaxing, not a prison or a desert. Happy, Amber?

The Barrens
OK, this isn't a meadow, but it's neat-looking.

The Pyramids of Light
This took a phenominal amount of time to render. I hope to get a G4 so it won't take so long. I want to be able to do more because this one came out cool. Actually, now that Bryce 5 is out, I could've done this same thing without it taking million years. Whoopsie.

Mars Tranquility
I could not think of a name to call this one. If anyone can think of a better one, tell me. I think this is one of my coolest desktop pictures yet. I love it when something refects what's behind the viewer. It gives that sense of reality.

Sand Reflections
I actually made this one before "Mars Tranquility," and you can see I really like reflections. Don't you?

Afghanistan
This is what I think Afghanistan looks like; well, looked like anyway. :c)

Moon Lake
No, there's no "Moon River" flowing into it, so shut up.

Golden Gorge
It's just one of those cool terrains...

Leafy Morning
Beneath an apple tree, in a meadow, on a warm spring morning.

Devil's Canyon
A dark sky; an eldritch moon; red, wispy clouds; spikey rocks; what else would I call it?

Mars Arrival
They've come, and they've found a lost explorer from Earth. In the next scene, their drinking tea and chatting about intergalactic political affairs

Warzone
I made this image on 9-11, inspired by the chilling images of the rubble in NY.

Ruins
I made this on 9-12.

Desert Sun
Sometimes it's hard to differintiate between the spellings of "desert" and "dessert." My fourth grade teacher told me you want a second helping of dessert; that's why it has two s's. You don't want more desert. But if you really like deserts, here's another helping to get you started.

Nightfall
A small atoll, bathed in mysteriously soft moon light.

Rainbow Bubbles
I'm so diverse, am I not? Prisons, deserts, barrens, devil's canyons, etc... and then meadows, brooks, islands, and now rainbows and bubbles. Makes you wonder...

Even more "Beachy!"
Now this is a lot better than my first beach. It has Bryce 5 plantlife! And not to mention a better volcanic island... (If you haven't noticed, I like ellipsis just as much as reflections!) This is the better version.

Palm Atoll
Ah, palms! If you like palms as much as you do deserts here's somemore... (ellipsis!) This is a better version

Palm Paridise
More palms. And just when you thought I couldn't get more serene... (ellipsis!)

Psychodelica
Now this is weird. But there is more where this came from... (ellipsis!)

Crystal Spires
It started out as something else, but it turned into this--whatever this could possibly be.

This Is Your Brain On Anesthesia
Whooo! Don't you just love anesthesia! I remember the first time I was put under; it was like psychedelic fingerpaint. The next best thing are those big blue pain pills. (Don't worry, I'm only addicted to Reese's™ peanut butter cups)

Night In A Tree
Imagine spending a night in a tree, the brisk night breeze whispering past you, the sounds of insects all around you lulling you to sleep. In the morning, the birds sing you to consciousness while squirrels lick the cool dew from your forehead.

Doorway to Dimension 17
In theory, a total of 11 dimentions exist. Mathmatically, 26 exist. All are probably no bigger than a millimeter, at most. You think I'm making this up, don't you?

The Canyon
I guess this is the Grand Canyon, but I'm going to try to make it more rugged-er.

Water Snake
To demonstrate the power of Metaballs, I created this "snake" froma chain of them. They cohere to one another, depending on their proximity.

Santa's Canyon
Daddy! Daddy! I want THAT tree!

The Inards of John's Mind
Upon discovering that my creative juices had dried up, I began to worry, but lo and behold, John appears and says to me: "Do a picture of what it's like in in my mind." So I says to him: "OK." And I did it. (I didn't create any of the stuff in the scene; other talented people did, but I have made a floor lamp, towel rod, and bathroom lighting fixture. :c) )

Tree of Light
It took me long enough to get this on the page. I just kept forgetting it. It's nothing spectacular, anyway.

Where Colors Come From
All graphic artists and printers know the importance of a accurate color palette. Here we have the perfect samples of red, green and blue floating in the sea of eternity. Of course, I can't testify to the accuracy of the actual colors, but you catch my drift (haha, drift!).

Abduction of Atlanis
An illustration of what it would look like when Atlantis was abducted by aliens, if it really didn't sink below the sea, if it even existed at all. I'm a skeptic, yes, but I'm a creative one.

Citidel of Dextromethorphan
I rendered this while the dizzy side-effects of an accedental overdose of cough supressant were finally wearing off. Delightful image, no? **I found out soon after this was posted that DXM (dextromethorphan) is used recreationally. Just so you know, I don't do drugs. My weirdness is completely hereditery. And PS: the high wasn't fun, in case you're wondering.**

Stranded
"What do you do if you're stranded?" (Luckilly, the crates are full of toilet paper.)

Horse Pond
I made this just because I found a horse mesh (and I'm a nut for animal meshes!). This is one for Amber and the other horse lovers out there.

Ice Palace of the Snow Faeries
Yes, I know it looks like Mt. Crumpit from "The Grinch," but it isn't. It's an ice palace for snow faeries. So there.

Planet Aramas
I had a dream one night about a planet where large slabs of rock floated around and we could hop to other rocks as they floated by. This image is a pretty good representation of the landscape of that planet.

Infinity
This started out as a variation of "Mars Tranquility" and I "vortex-tiled" it in Photoshop. I think it's rather nifty, don't you?

Insidious Spawn of Octahedra
Well, what would YOU want me to call it?! It seemed like the most obvious choice: there's an octahedron floating right above it, and the scene looks very insidious! And I don't have "issues," so shut up!

Moonscape
Orbiting past the moon, you catch a spectacular glimpse of the dictant earth and the sun. Alright, fine. It's just some cool looking spheres and a Photoshop "Lens Flare" but it still looks cool.

Ringed Planet
An exotic planet, circled with ornate rings, in the middle of a far-off galaxy.

Salt Deposits
Salt deposits on a moon of a gas giant.

Island
I made this after I watched "Pearl Harbor," for obvious reasons.

Island 2
I made this after I watched "Pearl Harbor," too. Scary coincidence, huh?

Speed Limit Infinity
There was this guy named Zeno who lived in the 5th century B.C., and he said to himself, "Since a line can be split in half, and that half can be split, and so on and so forth...it must have an infinite number of points." Well, lets say we had an apple and an arrow to shoot it with: the trajectory of the arrow to the is a line. But the line has an infinite number of points. How could a finite object (like an arrow) pass through an infinite number of points in a finite amount of time? That's what Zeno said, therefore concluding that motion was impossible. Of course, this won't get you out of a speeding ticket. :c)

Linear Spiral
It's a spiral, but it's linear...go figure.

Canyon Land (with a flare!)
I set off this wonderful wall of rock strata with a fantastic flare from Photoshop. Say that 5 times fast. (Mac users, the sun would be right under the harddrive icon. Windoze users, flip it in some kinda photo program (...Paint?) and it won't look stupid.)

Silver Dreams
A sea of silver toruses. Or is it tori?

Pinkness
The essence of pink. Pink as a tangible element, floating in the air.

Intestinal Journey
Travel with Andy Ameoba through the intestines of a poorly informed tourist in a thrid world country.

Intestinal Journey 2
"And we're psuedo-walking*, and we're stopping. If you look to your right, you'll see the wonderfully absorbent walls of the large intestine." *Ameobas are called pseudopods (which means "fake foot") because of the way they morph their cell walls to move. Just another tid-bit of science for you in case you didn't know.

Flubber Has Landed
This gooey space ship took hours upon hours to render, due to the extensive usage of light, refraction, transparency, reflection, and blobs of sticky Metaballs.

Shrink Wrap
My first real dabble into the world of abstract in the third dimention. A cluster of shrink-wrapped tori (?) floating in the void of emptiness.

Strange World
I've had this stored away for a while. Not sure what it is. Just something weird. Like you.

UFOs Over Water
Strange apparitions hover over murky waters, casting out eerie orbs of light has they move...

UFOs Over Water (Lite!)
For those with a less ominous view of our interstellar companions.

Zebra Land
I know, I know. You're thinking, "Zebra Land? What does that have to do with the price of eggs in China?!" Well, look closely at the land. It has stripes. And so do....ZEBRAS!! So there.

The Blobs
(This wonderful image managed to ooze between the cracks and lay forgoten and alone for a long time.) Some blobs sit languidly in the water, doing what they do best: sitting.

Rubble
Made around the anniversary of 9/11.

Pluto & Charon
Pluto, a planet that probably smells like a fart if one was able take off his helmet long enough to sniff anything. You can see Charon, ferryman of the river Styx who takes the souls of the dead to Hades, and who is nearly as big as poor little Pluto. The thin atmosphere of methane gas evaporates off into space while Neptune and Uranus drift away on their own lonely paths.

Probes on Acid Planet
Our probes have changed! Due to the corrosive atmosphere of this planet, a different, but no less exciting, model has been dispatched.

Jungle Pyramid
The mist clears, and you are dwarfed by the immense structure in front of you. Yes, you have found the Great Llama Treasure.

Jungle Pyramid (River!)
The same pyramid, after rainy season. You had to come back because last time you were chased out by a llama mummy.

Hall of the Mountain Sphere
I really don't know what this is. I-I-I just like reflections. I do. And I'm proud of it.

Storm Spheres
A meteorological phenomenon: reflective spheres floating amidst an imminent thunderstorm. Nah, I just like reflections. I know what you're thinking. But I'm not a narcissist. Really.

"Nuke 'Em, George!"

Nuke 'Em, George: Best Bomb!
Spiffy bomb, huh? It's the "A" bomb called "Fat Man." There is a more stream-lined A bomb called "Little Boy" but I like the shape of Fat Man better. Don't you?

Nuke 'Em, George: Pig
Because of the Muslims' fear of pigs, I think we should send over pork. And better yet, with "I LUV NY" stickers on them!

Combat Pigs
Alan gave me this idea: to have pigs strapped with TNT dropped from cargo planes. You may ask, though, "Where are the cargo planes?" Well, if you asked me that I'd have to tell you that they are in the upper right hand corner. They're tiny for a reason; it's hard to find good quality cargo planes anymore.
