Here is a picture of me in four states at the same time at the Four Corners: New Mexico,Colorado,Arizona, and Utah. I took this picture during a little adventure back in 2005. I flew into Las Vegas and checked that out for a few days. Then I drove up through Utah and checked out Zion National Park. I checked out the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and then over to the Four Corners. Next I traveled down to the South Rim of the Canyon. After that, I went down through Sedona to Chandler, AZ and hung out with my buddy Derek and his sister for a few days. After a week, I made my way back to Las Vegas. Other than hanging out with my buddy, I would say the Grand Canyon was the highlight. I took dozens of pictures of the Canyon, but this is certainly one place that needs to be seen with one's own eyes to appreciate it.
Ok, you can't really read it, but I thought it was pretty funny so I stuck the pic up on here.... This was a toilet at one of the hotels I stayed at during the Vegas '05 trip. See that red sticker on there? Well, it says, " Reclaimed water, do not drink". So I saw that and I'm thinking, did they REALLY need to go outta the way and put some kinda sticker on there? I mean, has this REALLY been such a HUGE problem in the past that the smarter and wiser powers-that-be had to make some kinda rule to put a sticker on the toilets to keep patrons from consuming that cool, refreshing liquid from that easily accessible bowl rather than having to go through the painstaking trouble of operating the sink faucet located right next to the toilet? Anyway, things that make ya go hmmmmmmmmm.........
Here's a picture of a group of friends at a mystery dinner party that our friend had in 2006. Can ya guess which one I am ???
Here is more of a close up picture of me......er....I mean Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin from the mystery dinner.
Here's a picture of my uncle and I from a little road trip we took in July of 2006. I wanted to check out the Great Plains States and see what they were like and Unc came along for the ride. We did about 4000 miles in 10 days. We flew into Milwaukee, WI and rented a car. We were in nine states in ten days,... WI,IA,NE,SD,WY,MT,ID,ND,MN. It was all very cool! I would have to say that the highlight for me was seeing all the wildlife at Yellowstone National Park. The scenery was beautiful, too. All the pictures I took don't do the place justice !!! I think it's one place that everyone should see for themselves before pass on from this earthly realm.
Here is another picture from the road trip through the Great Plains States in July of 2006. I'm doin' a lil rock climbing on Devil's Tower out in Wyoming. Does it look familar at all? It's the rock formation where they filmed the movie " Close Encounters of the Third Kind". We didn't see any aliens out there, though. Well, unless they were some kinda body snatcher kind that were in the people we were climbing with !!!! Nahhhh, I don't believe in that stuff.
Here's another pic of me from our road trip. I'm not mad, just squinting. I think I may have seen an alien or Richard Dryfuss. Maybe he IS an alien ?!?! Something else to think about.
