Well it would appear that Slipknot did not sell-out, as I was worried that they would. And I am damn glad they didn't because as far as main stream metal(Korn, Bizkit, Kid Rock, Linknin Park, Crazy Town, etc.) goes, Slipknot is the best, BAR NONE. Having that said I must now point out some of the problems I had with this CD. For one I think that the trademark percussionists do not have enough of a presence. The guitar riffs don't seem to be as good as on the self-titled, and last but not least the songs don't seem to flow as well as on the last disc. Now that that is out of the way I want to discuss some strong points of the CD. Cory is at the top of his game. He has proven that he has one of the most versatile metal voices I have ever heard. Joey does a fantastic job on the drums, which could be a reason why the perscussionists are not used as much. I am quite pleased with this album, although it is by no means in my top-ten Albums, it is still a welcome presence to my collection.
