3 is, as you guessed it, the third album from Soulfly. When I first heard this album, I was absolutely shocked at how recycled and bland it sounded. Now that I've listend to it a few more times, my dissapoint level has lowered, but is still very much so present. The song Seek and Strike makes me want to take the CD(which is burnt, cause I'm not paying 20$) out of my CD and throw it into the pile of other CDs I never listen to. It is the exact same song as No Hope=No Fear except 5 years later, with absolutely no preogression. Now that I've got that off my chest I can go on with the review. Ritchie Cavalera should not be allowed on songs until he learns how to sing with any consistency. The restof the album is mediocre, with the exception of Soulfly 3, which I would say is one of Soulfly's best songs of all time. Lots of people have said this album is better than Primitive, and I would have to disagree, especially considering they are supposed to be "evolving". I haven't lost all faith in Soufly, yet. I'm still optomistic that their next album could be something worth listening to more than once or twice a year. I know you can do it Max.
