MICROSOFT OFFICE '97 SECRETS
These were given to me by SAM LAYTON, one of my friends at school. Thanks, Sam! Now, I know these work. I've seen them work. I now know the pinball game on word, and the flight simulator on Excel, work in the USA, thanks to Wjmillerjr@aol.com, and kaiwo@earthlink.net (James Olsson)! Can others from the US email to tell me if the others work over there? Thanks!
MICROSOFT WORD '97--Pinball game--
Type Blue (only capital B) into Word. Highlight, turn blue, and make bold. Unhighlight, and put a space after the word Blue. Now click help on the top toolbar, click About Microsoft Word, and press the "W" word icon with the mouse while holding left control and shift. Wow! A pinball game! Z and M operates the flippers.
MICROSOFT EXCEL '97--Flight sim--
Press F5 to get to the go to box. Now type X97:L97, and press return. Press tab. Hold left ctrl and shifts and click chart wizard button near the top. WOW! A flight sim! If you keep flying around you'll find a pillar with a list of credits on.The mouse moves you, the left button moves you forwards, and the right arrow moves you backwards. Watch out, it's very sensitive!
MICROSOFT ACCESS '97--Magic 8 Ball--
Create a blank database, open MACROS, click on NEW, press space. Close the window. Click YES and save as "Magic Eight Ball" Go to VIEW, then TOOLBARS, then CUSTOMISE. Check off macro design. Click on the COMMANDS tab. Click on All Macros. Drag the macro to the second toolbar. Think of a question, click ont the button, and it will answer it for you! (Not 100 per cent accurate!)
OUTLOOK '97 & '98--Who is Ren Hoek?--
Create and save a contact named "Ren Hoek". Select the contact. Select help about Microsoft Outlook. Hold control/alt/shift, and click on the OK button. Hey presto! You can view the development team!
POWERPOINT '97--Let's do the macarena!--
This one is naff. Select help about Powerpoint. Press control/alt/shift. Click on the horizontal line (under the licensing info) 3 times.
INTERNET EXPLORER 5--Lots of stuff!--
Select Tools, Internet options, general (tab), languages (button). Press add. Type: "ie-ee" (without the quotes.) an click OK. Move "User Defined [ie-ee] to the TOP of the list. Exit back to where you can browse in IE5 again, Click on the search icon(to pull up the side search menu). Look at the new options. Select 'previous searches' for loads of hidden stuff. Click on customize for a neat about box. To regain your search bar, move the ie-ee language from the top inside internet options. PHEW! Long one! My fingers are getting tired typing! Only one more...
OPEN GL'S VOLCANO
On Windows 95/98/NT4. See the text on the 3D text screen saver to volcano and it will randomly display various volcanos around the world. For NT only (I think! Try anyway!) type 'not evil', and the developers name appears. Rumor: Writing 'beer' will display various beer. I can not get this to work. Can you? If you can, email me! THE END!
