These animals are secluded to arctic and subarctic waters only.
Belugas are found in water as cold as 15° C (59° F).
They eat Atlantic cod, herring, smelt, flounders and halibut.
Adults are a creamy white color, while the calves and juveniles are a range of colors varying from brown, grey, or blue.
A female Beluga will give birth to a calf every 2 to 3 years.
