Brand new to ESS this year, the
first Little Barons! Cheerleading Squad. Under the direction of Mme. Lise
Leveille, and coaching from senior cheerleaders Amada Gallop, Keri Gmiterek, and
Chantelle Harvey-Houghton, the girls have successfully completed their first
year. They placed 1st in the Sweetheart Competition in the Junior Cheer
Category, and tied for 1st in the Junior Cheer Category at Provincials.
When the idea of having a Junior
Squad was first suggested at the beginning of this year, there was an
overwhelming interest, with 55 girls trying out! Unfortunately, the rules say
that teams can have a maximum of only 25 cheerleaders. Thanks to all the girls
that tried out, and a congratulations to all the girls that made this years
