TNT To Air An American Cinematheque Tribute To Nicolas Cage

Turner Network Television (TNT), cable's #1 destination for drama, will premiere Hollywood Salutes Nicolas Cage: An American Cinematheque Tribute as a one-hour special exclusively on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 9 p.m. In support of the tribute special, TNT will air Cage films including Moonstruck (Monday, Feb. 25, at 12 p.m. and 12 a.m.); It Could Happen to You (Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 12 p.m. and 1 a.m.); and Guarding Tess (Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. and 3 a.m.). The prestigious industry event, now in its 16th year overall and the fourth on TNT, was taped Oct. 28, 2001, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Samuel L. Jackson hosts the event, with Jim Carrey presenting the award. Other presenters include Lara Flynn Boyle, Dennis Franz, Dennis Hopper, Jay Leno, Jon Lovitz, Elisabeth Shue and Christian Slater. Pre-taped congratulatory comments from Cher, Francis Ford Coppola, Johnny Depp, John Goodman, Angelina Jolie, Ving Rhames, Martin Scorsese, and John Travolta are also featured.

The pictures aren't working here because webshots doesn't want to direct link anymore...very annoying, but that will be fixed soon. Anyway:

Dog years put away in the closet

Unfortunaly and to our dissapointment "Dog Years", directed and written by Gary Ross, is being put on hold by Universal Pictures. Filming was suppose to begin in March.

The sudden halt is reported to be due to Nicole Kidman's very busy schedule, who would join after filming "Dogville" and "The Human Stain". For now, Gary Ross will concentrate on "Sea Biscuit" and Jim will focus on his other projects (which, luckely are plenty)

Production may still resume later this year in the Fall, which is a good hope.
