"I know," Matt said.
"And Freddie Prinze Jr. is so hot."
"Right," Matt said. "Do you want to go get something to eat?"
"Yeah," Alicia said,"let's go to McDonalds."
They got into Matt's car and drove off. When they pulled up to a corner, a car full of guys recognized Alicia.
"Hey baby!" one of the guys yelled. "Wanna come over here and have some fun?!"
Matt and Alicia drove away. Nobody said anything at first.
"You know, it's weird," Matt finally said.
"What?"
"I always forget that you're a celebrity," he answered. "When we're out, you act so....normal."
"Well, Matt, I am a real person, you know," Alicia said.
"I know, but....I don't know. It's weird."
"It's weird to think I'm normal?"
"No, Alicia. Just forget I brought it up. All I meant was that you're so so down-to-earth. You haven't let the fame get to your head."
"Oh." Alicia was quiet for a minute before she turned to Matt. "Thank you. That's one of the most nicest things anyone has ever said to me."
"Well, I'm a nice guy."
Alicia laughed. "I think all my fame has gone to your head!"
Deehone slammed down the fifth glass down in front of her. Kevin and Howie looked at her in amazement.
"Was that your fifth drink?" Howie asked.
Deehone looked at them very seriously, then started laughing. "No, it's my sixth!"
AJ, Moesha, Nick and Dawn came back from dancing. They looked at the glasses in front of Deehone. Mo and Dawn sighed and rolled their eyes. AJ and Nick tried not to giggle.
"Ok, I think it's time to take her home," Moesha said.
"Want some help?" Nick asked.
"Please?"
Nick put Deehone's arm around his neck and he put his arm around her waist.
Dee looked up at him. She smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks, baby," she said. "I love you."
"I love you, too," Nick said.
Dawn was feeling a little jealous. She knew he was only saying that to Dee because she was drunk, but she still wanted him to say it to her.
Nick put Dee in the back of Moesha's car. He turned to Dawn and Moesha.
"Sorry it had to be such a short night," Dawn said.
"That's okay," Nick said," once the tour starts, we'll have more fun."
"Why don't you guys come to our house?" Moesha said.
"Yeah!" AJ said. "Yeah, let's go, guys."
The guys got into AJ's Expedition and were going to follow the girls to their house.
"You wanted to go over there pretty bad," Nick said to AJ. "You got it bad for that Moesha chick?"
"Yeah, she's cool, but I want to meet that otehr chick. What's her name....Kelly? Chloe! That's it. She's hot."
"Uh oh," Howie said. "He's got another victim."
"I'm serious," AJ said. "She's pretty hot. I saw her on TV the other day. She seems alright."
"Yeah, and you probably read that National Enquirer article and you wanna get some ass!" Nick said.
"No! Oh....fuck off!"
All the guys laughed as AJ got frusterated.
Everything over at the Hard Rock was going great. Brandi and Leighanne were talking about shopping, and Dave, Chloe, Brian and Rich were talking about basketball.
"I go in that store all the time," Leighanne said," but I can never find the good stuff."
"Go with me and Deehone sometime," Brandi said. "The store clerks know us by name and save all the good stuff for us. We've become good friends with them."
"That's great. I'd love to go shopping with you guys," Leighanne said.
"Maybe you can come on the tour with us sometimes," Brandi said.
"For sure."
Over on the other side of the table, there wasn't as much peace. They couldn't agree on who was the best basketball player.
"Nobody's better than Kobe Bryant," Dave said.
"Vince Carter is really good, too," Chloe added,"but Kobe is better. He's my first favourite, then Vince."
"They're good," Rich said," but I think Shaq is better."
"Shaq sucks!" Dave exclaimed. He was starting to get pissed off. 'I can't stand this fag anymore,' Dave was thinking about Rich.
The checks came and everyone paid and went out to the parking lot.
"It was great meeting you," Leighanne said to Chloe and Brandi.
"You too," Chloe said.
"So, I guess we'll se each other in a few weeks," Brian said. "I don't even think they arranged a formal meeting between the two groups before the tour."
"Well," Chloe said," do you want to come over to our place? You'll probably meet the rest of the group."
Leighanne and Brian looked at each other. "We wouldn't want to impose...."
"No problem," Chloe said. "We've got people over all the time. Two more won't make a difference."
"It's the house that never sleeps," Brandi said. "C'mon. Live a little.......Please????"
"Ok, you've twisted our arms," Brian laughed.
"Great," Chloe said. "You guys follow Brandi and Rich back to our house. I have to stop at Dave's and grab my stuff."
"Ok, see you there."
Brandi and Rich got in the car and started to drive away, with Brian and Leighanne following.
"Brandi?"
"Yeah Rich?"
"I can't take it anymore."
"Can't take what?" Brandi asked.
"Don't play dumb," Rich shouted.
"Excuse me?! Don't talk to me like that!"
"I'm sorry, Honey, but I want you to make a decision right now," he said. "I want you to decide whether or not you're ready for a relationship. If you are, that's great. If not, then this is our last date."
Brandi just looked out the window, holding back tears.
