Plasma is a gaslike mixture of positively and negatively charged particles. The particles of a plasma have more energy than those of a gas. They have so much energy that plasma gives off energy in the form of light and heat. |
Stars are made of plasma. This is why they give off heat and light.
Since stars make up more than 99% of the universe and planets make up less than 1% of the universe, most of the universe is made of plasma.
