The San Francisco Giants won by a score of 5 to 0. Dreifort was spectacular. He walked 2 New York batters. The San Francisco players and coaches started to leave Dreifort alone with his thoughts after the game reached the 7th inning. By the time the 9th inning rolled around, you could hear a pin drop every time he went to his wind-up - and an explosion after every out. San Francisco finished with 9 hits in the victory. Jason Davis(6-7) absorbed the loss. 'I gave it everything I had. It's probably the greatest day of my life,' Dreifort said. 'I was out there focusing on my catcher's glove, that's all. I just concentrated on pitching my game.' |
