The following sequence of photos was taken from one outing to watch the Marlboro Local.
The Marlboro Local arrives in South Anaheim with loads of lumber and paper.
The local dropped its train in the yard and returned to fetch the empties from Weyerhauser Lumber.
The crew returns with the empties. What this photo doesn't show is the running drop they performed a few seconds later. The engines sped up, uncoupled on the fly from the cars and escaped down a siding while the cars rolled freely across Cerritos Ave. and proceeded to couple up with a loud bang to the rest of the empties sitting in the yard.
