Thanks to Jillian for sending this concert review in!
Well, let's see. It all began on September 2, 1998 when I had just gotten home from my very first BSB concert. Every single day until August 14, 1999, my friends and I would call Ticketmaster or any place where tickets were sold just in case. It all came true in the beginning of August when Carson on TRL said that tickets would b going onsale on August 14, the day before my birthday. Let's just say I got a great birthday present.
My dad somehow managed to snag 5 seats in row 20, section 113. (Extremely close). Judging from last years show, we knew that the BSB come about 2-3 hours b4 the show start, so we pulled into the parking lot of the Continental Airline Arena on September 24, 1999 around 4 pm.
There weren't a lot of people there, just a few people who had met them before and some people who also knew that they would get a chance to see the BSB as they came in.
We ended up meeting some really cool fans, we were actually able to talk to them. We showed them our 9 signs that we made for them and a plaque that we had spent over $50 buying the supplies for.
We talked to the security guards for a while, begging them to let us see them. I was so close to getting on my hands and knees and kissing their feet but I somehow managed to restrain myself). My mom and dad just stood to the side, holding my 8 rolls of film, and they just laughed at how obsessed we were being. I didn't care.
The security guards said there was nothing that they can do, but they pointed to a man that had a backstage pass dangling from his neck, so we ran over to him and I think we actually scared him! LOL. Anyway, he ended up being RoRo, one of the BSB's dancer for the Into The Millennium Tour, but, we didnt know if we should really believe him, but we took pictures with him and shook his hand. (He smelled sooo good, I was sniffing my hand all night!!)
We went back to the car which was parked about 100 feet from where we met RoRo, and managed to eat some food before going back over and this was when we met a new group thats supposed to come out next year called C N Double. (You might recognize them from MTV's Say What Karaoke) I got their autographs and whatever cologne they were wearing, I loved. I smelled like C N Double for the rest of the night, too.
So, anyway. This is the best part. My friend walked back to our car alone, and so all of a sudden she looked up cuz a car honked at her, and AJ was looking straight out the window. She started screaming, "Jillian! Jillian!!!" I looked up and AJ was right there, along with the other BSB just staring out the window. I was in total shock, so I took as many pictures as I could but only one came out, which is AJ looking. *sigh*. As soon as they left of course I was dying, but they still wouldnt let us meet them!
After that they finally let us go inside, and our seats were so close! The opening acts, EYC did a GREAT job of hyping the crowd up for the BSB. I was on my feet dancing and screaming the whole time. (But then I got in trouble from the people in back of me. But I pretended I didnt hear them).
Needless to say, the show was the best one yet. I don't want to give anything away, but i just want everyone to know that BSB put up an awesome show because they love doing it.
~Jillian~ Oh, and by the way, if any you don't believe me, I have pictures to prove it. E-mail me for proof! :) and if anyone else went to that concert, please e mail me!!
