If you or someone you love has been sexually abused its so crutial you get treatment as soon as possiable. The effects of child sexual abuse can last a lifetime if not addressed. It fills your mind with lies about who you are, it changes perceptions and distorts truth. Being sexually abused has changed the way I function in my life, it's changed my relationships. I can say, some of the decissions I have made are ones I never would have chosen if I would have been aware of the patterns created by the abuse much sooner. Theres no substitute for therapy and you can bet that if you have been abused it has effected your life, you may not see it now, for years neither did I, but it was and has always been there. My only regret is not seeking treatment much sooner, my hope is that you don't have the same regret.
