Hanson: From MON to MOE
Hansonmania

In May of 1996, Hansonmania had become a phenomenon. Fans, mostly girls and mainly between teh ages of eight and seventeen at the time, caused uproars unlike any others. It started out with local Tulsa fans who followed the band around to their local gigs, such as MayFest. As soon as MMMBop was released for airplay, the band gained the attention of fans worldwide. Along with the fans, thousands of pages dedicated to the guys were born. The fans can't get enough of them. They appeared on Jay Leno, Regis and Kathy Lee, Oprah, SNL, David Letterman and many others, too numerous to name. Where's The Love soon followed as a second hit, forcing the critis to stop calling the band a one-hit-wonder. They followed with two more hits, I Will Come To You and Weird. Following the multi-platinum sales of their debut album 'Middle of Nowhere', they recorded another album for the following Christmas. Dedicated fans wanted to hear the band before they were given a real contract, so they released '3 Car Garage:The Independent Recordings '95-'96'. One year after it all started, the band began their first world tour to satisfy their fans.

Any true fan of Hanson's knows the symptoms to HansonMania; that weird feeling inside when you hear the music; having to tape, or at least watch, every Hanson appearance on TV; being able to say with confidence that you like Hanson, and maybe giving a reason; standing up for the band; and so much more. Hanson fans can never get enough of the band, and that makes up HansonMania.
