 | Felix Potvin is one of the top goalies in the N.H.L. The Leafs are trying to use him as a franchise player to build around. When Felix Potvin plays well the Leafs have just as good of a chance to win as any team in the N.H.L. | |
 | Sergie Berezin had a very good rookie year and I would look for him to have a lot of succes as a hockey player in the future. He could blossome in to a franchise player and perhaps a leading goal scorer in the near future. | |
 | Old Wendel is a true team leader who has the god given ability to find the net with a wicked wrist shot and he can be used as an enforcer at times if needed. Although his career is coming to an end he has worn the blue and white with honour and distinction. | |
 | Marcel Cousineau is a young goalie who may one day be great. With Potvin and Healy as the two main goalies I would look for Cousineau to either be traded to a team where he will get more playing time or to be sent back down to St.Johns for a little finetuning. | |
 | Mathieu Scheider is the top Leaf defenceman and the Leafs need to build the rest of their defence around him. He can be both a phyisical player as well as scoring defenceman. I think you will see him become an All-Star many times in his carrer. | |
 | Mats Sundin is the most Valuable player that the Leafs have. In order for the Leafs to win Sundin has to play at his top level of ability. Look for him to one day be a scoring leader in the N.H.L. | |
 | Tie Domi may not be the most skilled player the Leafs have but he is the most dedicated. Tie is a competetor that every hockey club desires to have on their team. He is a grinder and plays a key physical role for the Blue and White | |
 | Jamie Macoun has to be a leader on the blue line for the Maple Leafs in order for them to have a low goals against average. If he does play up to his potential the Leafs should have a successful blue line this season. | |
 | Dimitir Yuskevich must be a stronger physical presence for the leafs this year in order for them to have a sterdy blue line. Also look for him to be invloved in a blockbuster deal with some team that need to make a physical impression |
