Dragon Ball

Well, where do I begin ? DragonBall started off the series sometime back in the mid 80's. I remember getting up saturday
mornings before my little league baseball games to watch the original DragonBall. The series is excelent old school anime.
The original story line of DragonBall begins with a small group of adventurers looking for the seven mystic DragonBalls,
which when brought together will summon the enternal dragon and grant one wish. The animation was smooth (what more
could you ask for ?) And the story was good. From there the series ended, and 5-7 yrs later DragonBall Z picks up.

Dragon Ball Z

DragonBall Z starts out with the original DragonBall gang having a reunion. First off noticing the animation is better, and
smoother. Upon the begining of the series we learn our hero, Goku, is actually an alien that was sent to destroy the planet.
And now his older brother is here to make sure it gets done. Goku, in order to defeat his brother, teams up with his nemesis
Piccolo. The only way to win, required Goku's sacrificing himself. But the DragonBall gang will wish him back with the
DragonBalls. Only now, two other alien fighters, even more powerful than Gokus brother, are headed towards earth to obtain
the DragonBalls to wish for immortallity. From there our story begins, which races through space, and eventually time to
save, and maintain peace upon earth. Unfortunatly, only episodes 1-53 (tapes 1-17) plus 3 movies have been released. So
somewhere around half of the DragonBall Z story has been told. From which it expands into DragonBall GT, which is not
commercially released in America. I highly enjoy the DragonBall story. The action is high, the story line is good, and the
voice overs actually have emotion (unlike Ghost in the Shell). So outta a five star crash test rateing system, i give Dragon
Ball a 6, and Dragon Ball Z a 12.
