undefined R.E.A.L. Anime Constitution    

Article I. Purpose

 The Purpose of this club is to gather people with an interest in or a desire to discover more about the genre of Japanese animation and teach such things as foreign film studies and animation art through a hobby.

Article II Name

 The name of this organization is R.E.A.L. Anime, in which at this point the R.E.A.L. does not stand for anything.

Article III Membership

 Section 1. Membership is open to any persons interested in joining, All members MUST be of the age 18 or over due to some of the content of the materials.

 Section 2. All members will have to pay their own way to conventions and other such events that the club attends.

 Section 3. To be considered a voting member a person must have attended at least three club meeting within the prior month and registered his/her name, address, and phone number with the club secretary.

Article IV. Officers

 Section 1. Only members of at least a full years time may hold an executive office.

 Section 2. The officers shall be President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Convention Representative.  There will be a representative for every committee.

 Section 3. Elections for officers will be held at the beginning of each year.

 Section 4. To run for office a member must inform the current President and Vice President so as to add their names to the ballots.

 Section 5. The officers can only hold up to four terms, a term consisting of one full year (This time can be expanded if so desired by the persons piers)

Article V. Duties

 Section 1. The President shall:

a) Preside over club meetings.
b) Arrange and preside over private meetings of the executive board when needed.
c) Represent the club at each and all conventions attended by the club.
d) Have final say over what is and is not appropriate to be viewed during meetings.

Section 2. Vice President shall:

a) Assist the President
b) Assume duties of the President in case of the President’s absence.
c) Assume the office of President in the event the President is unable to perform the duties of his/her office.
d) Have the final vote in an impeachment decision for any officers position.

Section 3. The Secretary shall:

a) Record the events at all meetings.
b) Keep a file of all members of the club.
c) Keep a file of any communications.
d) Answer any correspondence.

Section 4.  The Treasurer shall:

a) Keep financial records for the club as approved by the executive board.
b) Prepare a budget at the end of each fiscal year and have it approved by the executive board.

Section 5. The Convention Rep:

a) Works on hotel accommodations and sends all pre-register forms for badges for each convention.
b) Attains press passes for the club heads and all those that plan to write articles for the newsletter.
c) Obtains access to the press parties and private dinners for the club.

Section 6. The Committee heads shall:

a) Represent their respective committees at each club meeting.
b) Arrange and head committee meetings when needed.
c) Are required to attend at least two conventions a year in order to represent the club.

Article VI. Amendment

 Section 1. The constitution will be reviewed at the beginning of each year, all changes will require a majority two-thirds vote.

 Section 2.  If the constitution comes into question then it shall be reviewed at a club meeting and changed by a vote of two-thirds.
