Alpha Chi Omega's charitable, literary, and educational programs are supported by gifts from members and friends to the Alpha
Chi Omega Foundation. Thanks to their generous support, Alpha Chi is able to provide many scholarships, fellowships, and student loans while actively supporting the
Fraternity's educational and altruistic work.
Alpha Chi Omega's colllegiate chapters and alumnae associations conduct find-raising activities throughout the year to support the AXO Foundation and its endeavors.
The MacDowell Colony
The MacDowell Colony, located in Peterborough, New Hampshire, was Alpha Chi Omega's first altruistic project and upholds our tradition of excellence in the fine arts.
Colony fellows work in studios scattered throughout the six hundred acres of field and woods. One of the studios, Star Studio, was built in 1911 with funds from the Fraternity and has been maintained
by Alha Chi Omega since that time.
Easter Seals
Alpha Chi Omega's association with the Easter Seal Society began in 1947. Our obligation to this organization has been met through a bequest from member Florence Staiger Lonn. Annual contributions provide
specially designed car seats for children with special needs.
Victims of Domestic Violence
At Alpha Chi Omega's 1992 National Convention, delegates voted to adopt the Support of Victims of Domestic Violence as a national altruistic project. All members, collegiate and alumnae, are encouraged to provide service
in their community to local shelters or organizations aiding victims of domestic violence.
This expression of concern for others, especially women and children, offers a concentrated way for Alpha Chis nationwide to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
