"Zac and Madison come in here" Zac and I exchanged looks as we walked into my parents bedroom, with nosy Taylor hot on our heels. Diana, Walker, mom and dad were all situated around the room and once Walker noticed his extra son come into the room, he stood up. "Taylor go upstairs" Taylor let out a sigh "Fine" he turned, left the room and closed the door. I knew he was standing right outside the closed door, but I didn't say a word. "Could one of you explain what's going on?" Diana asked directing her question to both of us but looking at Zac. "There's not much to explain mom" Zac started "Things just happened and now, we're ... together" he grabed my hand. "We didn't really do anything wrong" I added. "We know this" my mom started "You two are not in trouble" Yay! "There are just certain things that we have to be more careful of now" Diana said. I noticed that neither of the dads did much talking, I wonder why. "Right" my mom nodded towards Diana's way "The days of sleeping in each others room's are now over. We know what it's like to be teenagers and we're not gonna stop you from doing ... whatever, but we want you guys to be careful." "Mom ..." I started, how stupid did she think I was ? "No, Madison I know that you and Zac are smart" She always seemed to know what I was thinking "Hopefully you'll continue to be smart is all we're saying" "Now get out of here" Diana added with a grin, closing this discussion. I was thankful for the way our parents (well, our moms at least) handled the situation. They didn't go to hard on us and they didn't make it very awkward or embarrassing. I knew Zac was thinking the same thing, as I heard a "Whew" escape his mouth as we headed towards the door. As I opened the door I was surprised to not see Taylor there. "I'm going in the pool, wanna come?" "Maybe later" I answered Zac, he smiled squeezed my hand and went into the laundry room to get his newly washed trunks. I walked the few feet to the steps and sort of skipped up them. I was happy, but I'm not really sure why. As I reached the top step I remembered Morgan. Crap. I forgot to call her. Turning around I skipped back down the steps, picked up the phone and skipped back up to my room. I'm just an all around skipper, aren't I? Once I reached my room, i plopped down on the bed and dialed Morgan's number. After three rings, her brother answered "Hey Josh" "Oh my god, could it be? Ms. Hawaii?" He always gave me a hard time, but it was all in good fun. "Put your sister on goofball" He chuckled "Hang on" I waited for about ten seconds before Morgan came on the phone. "Mad?" "Hey Morg" It was good to hear her voice again. She added some reality to and unreal situation. I missed having her over for dinner every Wednesday and I missed all thetime we spent togather. Oh well, the phone would have to do until we leave Hawaii. "So, what's been going on?" she asked, as she obviously crunched on something over the other line. I'm thinking Nachos, as they're her favorite. "Alot" "I have time" I went on to tell her all about Taylor and about Zac and I and once I was finished seven words escaped her mouth. "I can't believe you're dating Zac Hanson" "Oh Moragn, you know he's not Zac Hanson to me" I stoped, trying to find the right words "To me he's just ... well .. he's just Zac." "Well that's makes sense" she said in her mild Southern accent "Being that, that is his name and all" she joked. "Your useless" I threw back "So what's been going on over there" Morgan went on to tell me about all our friends back in Tampa and who was dating who, who got into a fight with who and all that good stuff. Just as Morgan was telling me about what happened to Becca Davids, Taylor walked into my room through the joining doors. "Hang on Morg" I covered the reciever "What's up?" I turned to Taylor. "Why didn't you tell me?" he sat down on my bed next to me. "About what?" "You and Zac" Uh-oh I put my finger to him, signaling give me a minute and went back to Morgan "I gotta go" "Why?" she seemed sad "Taylor just walked in" "Okay, call me again soon" "I will" "Okay, bye" "Bye" As I hung up the phone I turned to Taylor, expecting to see his arms across his chest waiting for an answer, but instead I saw him wipe his right eye.
