Peter's Musical Library
My Best Songs to Download
- Love Rules The World - This is a retro 70's song, laden with organic music (music from organs) and very early psychadelic words.
- Leningrad Anthem-Deep and prickly, this is an outstandingly poignant song about love. This song is no longer available online, due to the fact that it has come out on my first-ever album, "Last Rites", released in December 2002!
- Follow The Truth- This is a rockin' piano peice (although with drums and bass) and it should make any jazz enthusiast come away happy. This song is no longer available online, due to the fact that it has recently been released on my first ever album, "Last Rites", in December 2002!
- Status Symbols- This is an edgy, industrial piece. I wrote this entire song at 9:30 am, September 11, 2001. It really doesn't have a deep emotional meaning, but it's a nice song to listen to.
- Don't Let Him Break Your Heart- This is an outstanding piano and strings ballad. Powerful, sweet, and lovely. Worth a listen.
- I Am Myself- Despite the title, this is not a narcissistic song. Instead, it's a psychadelic rock piece. For me this is a milestone, based on the extreme panning, volume changes, instrumentation, and pitch bending. Definitely one of my best songs ever!
- Pure Joy- This is a glorious, flowing piano and strings symphony that I hope fits the title. At least it was enjoyable to write!
- Life's Like That- This song is great, funny, and fresh. Dedicated to
Danny and Jake, who always surprise me with what they'll do next.
- Heritage Valley Telephone Directory- I wrote this rock song for myself: it's an upbeat song written for many people whom I love and remember. Worth a listen, if just for the music.
- Pieces of a Puzzle- This is a hip, happy, and one of my best rock songs.
- Pilate Shrugged- This is a bright, light, happy rock piece. No words, but just a nicely joyful piece. Worth a listen.
- Flowers in Winter- This is a fluffy, orchestral rock piece in 6/8 time, based on a dream I had two days before Christmas. Worth a listen.
- The Altar Crucified - This is a great and moving song about the value of suffering. Dedicated to Bobby, although only because I was thinking of him while I wrote it.
- Too Late- This is a great, short rock song, totally inspired by my sister. She rushed into my room one evening while I was playing guitar, and handed me a piece of paper, exclaiming, "Here are some lyrics that I wrote! Write a song to them!" Well, here it is. Thanks, sis, for the great lyrics, which are about how some guys never realize they love a girl until it's too late.
- Sole Heir (To A Fortune)-This song is a third place winner in the TOSBBS Monthly Midi Contest for September! Great rock song. If there was one song on this list that could be a #1 Hit Song one day,
this would be it. Awesome. This song, too, came out on my newest album in December 2002!
- Love Will Prevail- This is probably my best-ever piece, with pianos and strings.
- Sanity- This is a techno-brassy piece about being insane. It's a duet!
- Play The Fool- This is an outstanding hard rock piece about how people can become popular. Just great.
- Hot Wax Symphony- This is a sweet, slightly sad musical piece; a mix of classical and ballad style. Simply beautiful.
- A New Sunrise- This is a bright but slow orchestral rock piece. Okay, but it's not my best.
- Glorious Revolution- This is a nice rocking classical piece regarding our constant quest to better ourselves.
