Early Riser

I’m not close to my neighbors,
but I have lots of friends.
I take care of them; feed them -
my work never ends.

Of course most of my friends
are on four legs, not two.
But they give me great presents
like milk, eggs and glue.

Plus I ride a big tractor
and grow lots of stuff;
like corn, wheat and cotton -
My job’s pretty tough.

I get sore, I get tired,
but once I’m all healed,
I can boast that I’ve been
out-standing in my field.
