Getting Over The Hump

Penelope Plump
has a great big hump
on her back
which she says
is a leftover mump.

It’s unusual, sure,
and there isn’t a cure,
which explains why
most people
feel sorry for her.

But she doesn’t want pity.
She’s actually quite witty,
and smart
and mature
and unusually pretty.

So, listen, you guys
it would surely be wise
to look past the hump
and look straight
in her eyes.

She may not look like you,
but I’ll give you a clue...
once you look
in her eyes
all you’ll see is the blue.
