Making Cents
I heard that thoughts
cost just a penny,
so I tried to sell mine
but I didn't have any.
I heard that some nickels
are wood, like a tree.
So I chopped up a log,
now I'm rich as can be.
I heard that girls
are a dime a dozen
So I bought me 9 sisters,
2 moms and a cousin.
I heard that a quarter
won't stretch very far.
I found out it was true
and I still have the scar.
I find money matters
to be very strange.
But I'll learn, 'cause I don't want to be
scared of change.
