Summer Solstice/Midsummer
Compiled from many different sources by Ember

1.Purification of Self
Use salt water that was blessed to draw a pentacle on each participating person's forehead and say something to the effect of:
I purify you in the name of the God and Goddess!
Set up the altar.

2.Purification of Space
Sweep the area with the magickal broom and/or sprinkle with the salt water used above, while visualizing energy zapping away all negativity. Say something to the effect of:
I cast out all negative energies from this space! Be gone!
Light the incense.

3.Casting the Circle
Using the athem, visualize the circle casting while saying:
By the motion of the sun
This magick circle I create
O ancient elements, one by one
I invite to participate:

6.Ritual Topic and Energy Raising
"This is the festival of summer, where we dance and make merry magic in thanks for the crops growing, and the abundance of nature. This is when light is at it's peak, when the day is longest."  (Robin Woods) For thousands of years our ancestors have celebrated the summer solstice, worshiping  The archetypal God of nature and agiculture:  Pan, the Green Man, Dionysys, Cernunnos, Rudra, Amen, Apollo and many other names. By this rite we thank the Horned God of the wilderness and the Great Goddess for the fruits of the soil that abound.

9.Grounding
Now sink to the ground and relax. Place your palms flat on the ground or lie flat. Let the power sink through you into the earth. Visualize the energy actually flowing down to the actual ground and into the earth. Relax, and let the force flow through you…deep into the earth… where it will be cleansed and renewed. Relax and let yourself drift peacefully.  When you are ready, sit up and open your eyes.

11.The Feast
This food is the blessing of the Lady and the Lord given freely to us. As freely as we have received, may we also give food for the body, mind and spirit to those who seek such of us. A: So Mote It Be! (Green Witchcraft, Ann Moura) End the ritual with a simple feast of fresh fruit, and Wine or Juice!
