Frequently Asked Questions Fortunatly for me somone else was nice enough to make up a list of Pagan/Wiccan FAQ. So if you would like to know the basics of this religon follow either link! I like to point these youths to the Universal Unitarian Church. This is the spiritual group for all people of all religions and many pagans belong to a UU church. I belong to the UU of Salibury MD, and I teach the "Sunday School" there. Also, Witch's Voice has a great networking page called "Witches of the World", it lists countries and states and pagans that live there. You can find me in the Maryland section! Paganism in its many forms is a very individualized religion that is extremly flexable. Every pagan has a different take on their specific religious beliefs. According to Scott Cuningham, pagans have the following beliefs in common:
I personaly view the God and Goddess as each one being with many different aspects who are the different Goddess and Gods in all mythology. In a sence, I worship all the deitys that ever existed. I see the Goddess as the moon in the night sky. To me, she rules the emotional aspects of life: love, hate, happines and depression. She heals the emotional scars that life leaves. I pray to her when my PMS takes over and I need to find my sanity! She fulfills my emotional needs. I see the God in the powerful sun, how it waxes and wains from year to year. To me, he rules the physical needs, food, sex, employment, physical healing, etc. When I need a job, I pray to him, for he is a good provider and knows exactly what I need. He fulfills my physical needs.
Together they are the perfect devine parents. They deeply love each other, as
well as their children. They care for us, the earth, the wilderness, for we
are all the children of Gaia. Pagan Persecution Even though in America we have freedom of religion, there are thoes who harrass Pagans because they do not understand our beliefs. Again, Pagans do not worship the "devil" nor do we believe in the "devil". I hope that someday I won't ever have to explain this to anyone ever again! There are thoes Christians who respect us for who we are and what we believe. If you are one of thoes who would harrass pagans, maybe you would listen to what these Christians have to say about us! I also found the following in the Bible: "If anyone says, 'I love God,' yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
