In My Room by |
I sit in my lonely room, Pondering my memories of life; I recall my times of sorrow And periods of great strife. My heart is filled with anguish, My cheeks are drenched in tears; The burden seems too great for me, I’m gripped by all my fears. O Lord my God, I plead with you, Please take away my sorrow! For if you do not help me now, I’ll live not to tomorrow! And now you come to take my load, You work to make me whole; I’m overwhelmed with endless peace, And joy, it floods my soul! My God, I love you so much more- Much more than words can voice; For now I know your love for me, You’ve given me life’s choice! I’ve learned you are my refuge, You keep me safe and warm; Protected by your awesome love, I’ll make it through each storm! |
