MY HERITAGE

If you haven't guessed already, I am part-Cherokee
(Ani-Yunwiya- which means "The People"), and am proud to be able to say so.
I have just recently started looking into this part of my heritage,
and am finding it fascinating.
This page is dedicated to this ancestory that I know so little about.
The information highway has been a great help with
finding links to geneaology studies,
but very limited in resources for native american clip-art, graphics, etc.
I have gotten the picture above from one that my husband bought for me
at a town wide fair in the mountains a year ago.
I have always enjoyed the indian art works,
but find that it is scarce in many places.
I know very little about my family, even though I have tried to get answers,
they have been met with silence,
so this is the only way I seem to have to get information.
My father's family came from West Virginia, where a tribe use to be located.
I have no idea if it still exists to this day or not,
I just started hunting today, so my knowledge is very limited.
I will be updating if and when I should find family links,
then I will happily display what I have found here
to celebrate my joy in finding this extended family.
Please enjoy this site, and go through the links,
some have resources for other tribes that you may be a part of.
