Stuff I Use or Have Used in the Past
NOTE: I'm
nowhere near a big enough wheel to have any endorsement contracts with anybody. I've paid
my own hard-earned money for all of this stuff.
Epiphone Jack Casady Bass
- Without doubt, the best bass I have ever played. 'Nuff said.
Fender
Fretless Jazz Bass
- I use this for mellower, jazzy-sounding tunes. It gets
heavy-gauge
tape-wound flats for that deep, gut-bucket Blues sound.
Fender
Precision Bass
- I use this for almost everything now. It gets
heavy-gauge flats for a deep, Motown sound.
SWR
Workingman's 12
- A great little amp - powerful, punchy, and portable. SWR was recommended to
me by Jack Casady. He knows.
SWR
Workingman's 10
- A little more portable than the Workingman's 12, almost as powerful, and with the same great tone. SWR was recommended to
me by Jack Casady. He knows.
SWR
Workingman's 15T
- A great 15 inch 200W extension cab for the Workingman's combo amps. SWR was recommended to
me by Jack Casady. He knows.
Hartke 3500
- A great workhorse amp - with tube and solid state preamps.
Fender RAD 25
- Now marketed as the Bassman-25. A great little practice amp. It can
even handle a 5-string's low-B through its 10" speaker.
Dean
Markley Blue Steel Strings
- The best strings I've found so far. They keep their tone long
after all the others I've tried were long dead.
LaBella
Deep-Talkin' Bass Strings
- Great bass strings for a deep, smooth Blues tone.
