Jesus came to earth
He took on blood and flesh
He felt all that we do
He really knows us best.
For awhile he was here
Striving to set everyone free
Not only of jewish law
But for sin's captivity.
He laughed and cried
He felt temptation too
He stayed at his father's side
To his father's will stayed true.
Yet he enjoyed being here
He didn't want to go
But his father's will was all to him
So open your eyes and know.
He loves us. He forgave them
As he hung dying he said forgive!
This I hold close to my heart
He died so that I may live.
