I find few that heed you Oh God above
I can rarely even find your peace and love
I will hate the sin; but love the women and men
You wish for them all to enter there in.
I pray for my spiritual eyes and ears
To be opened by you wide. To both see and hear
On your word my trust I place
The steps of my life this path I trace.
I care no more for what I once cared
I find you fulfill me with you I share
The whispers from you make my spirit rejoice
Yes, I lift my voice in a joyful noise!
You are so far above me, I am nothing at all
Yet you watch over me. You leave me in awe
You are my God. It is you I will follow
Paul himself saw it men are shallow.
Open me Lord God, for your will to be done
Christ is my saviour your only begotten son
Oh what a price, he paid in my stead
Guide all my steps please, where I tread.
You are with me God I am not alone
For you I live. For you I will hone
I belong to no group or organization
Jesus Christ paid for my salvation.
Of jewish law I am free
Yet a servant I am to all for thee
I will serve for your sake God of love
I pray always for your guidace from above.
I do not want to go where I've been
You have delivered me out of that sin
I pray for your covering over me
You care for me so tenderly.
I stumble and your word exposes to me
The path I need to take by your grace and mercy
The world around me swarms
I rely on your everlasting arms.
I need you! You are everything!
Oh, how your love causes me to sing
In prayer I find you ever near
I pray to listen with a spiritual ear.
