They won both the Best Rock and Best Video From A Film catagories!
Kurt Loder: Welcome back to Opening Act. We're moments away from the 1998 Video Music Awards and here with me, nominated for four awards tonight, Aerosmith. Guys - you guys are nominated for "Pink" and for "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing." Which one are you most rooting for to win? If it just has to be one.
(The boys confer with one another, looking confused)
Kurt Loder: Lets say, which child do you like best?
Steven Tyler: "Pink"! The very L.A. of it!
Kurt: OK, so you don't want to go the power ballad route, you want kinda the rock feel.
Steven: Oh yeah!
Kurt: OK - how's the health of the band? Is everybody OK...how's your knee?
Steven: Everything's a beautiful thing.
Kurt: Could you flex it for us?
Steven: (Flexing knee) I had to do some 'severious vaneuvering' to get into this position this morning, but I'm back.
Kurt: Is everybody else OK?
Brad Whitford: Everybody's fine - Joey's good.
Kurt: Where are you going from here?
Brad: To...uh...Camden, New Jersey tomorrow night.
Kurt: Good, good, good. And you've got a live album coming out right?
Steven: Yes we do. "A Little South Of Sanity." Which kinda depicts this whole situation here, wouldn't ya' think Kurt?
Kurt: Huh?...Oh, yeah-yeah! OK, well we wish you all well. We'll see you out there on the road. Now, I think he got the Beastie Boys - John (Norris)?
