My name is Gary Hunter, I'm in London - Ontario - Canada.

My hobby is playing golf.... which I now play by "feel".

Like I'm "feeling" ticked off because MD is dragging my game down!!!!

Any ideas???? I have been in the business of renovating historical homes since 1972. I have as late started to phase out of this business due to my vision loss. In early June of this year I opened a Gifts, Arts and Crafts shoppe called "The country Cherub" in the village of Lambeth Ontario.

I am hoping for success in this endeavor and to date it is looking good.

I'm Linda, from Vancouver.

I have just created a Web page, and it's up and running, if still a little raw.

Most of this material is lifted from that page. I have only one picture that's close to usable, and it's still an awful picture.

I decided it could be amusing if paired with the most appropriate caption I could think of: "You've got to be kidding!!!" (Quite truthfully, all pictures of me are awful, so I'm used to this quandary!)

Diagnosis: Wet MD, Left Eye only. Submacular surgery in November, looking successful so far....

Age at diagnosis: 43

Occupation: Secretary

Hobbies: Rowing, reading, travel, my own personal Rat Pack: Frank and Sammy,

Babysitting for "Sarah-Pie".Also, recently discovered Blackjack at Las Vegas!

My Mission:The medical community needs to understand the inestimable importance of the information and sense of community provided by the MD People website.

Nobody should ever leave a doctor's office after having been diagnosed with this frightening disease without being offered EVERY conceivable form of treatment, service, and resource appropriate.

Please feel free to visit my new home page, still under construction, but tourable -

Hi, my name is Judy and I live in Montreal.

In April 99, at age 59, I was diagnosed with Wet MD in one eye, Dry in the other. I am now 60 and wrinkles are starting to show!

I am married to wonderful, caring Antoine who is a painter by profession.

My kids call me "Beatnik Mom" because I remind them of the flower power generation of rebels!

I work part time as an Addictions Counsellor at a Rehabilitation Clinic. The rest of the time I try and help others with vision loss on the MD Support Site.

I love music, art, books, wilderness camping, creative cooking, tennis, canoeing........

I have recently written Judy's Jolts of Hope which you can find under Contents in the MD Support Site, or in the link below.

If I can help anyone at all cope with this devestating disease, please write to me at the e-mail address listed here.

Remember you are NOT ALONE with this disease, and a helping hand is just a computer key away. Hope to hear from you.

Judy
