Hebrews 2:10-18 Chiastic structure copied from Chiastic Analysis of the Epistle to the Hebrews,  arranged by John Bligh (Athenaeum Press, Heythrop College, Oxon, England: 1966). Bligh's work is almost entirely in Greek. For website purposes, I have used unaccented Greek from the Unbound Bible, Nestle-Aland 26, at unbound.biola.edu
I have added English from the New American Standard Bible, revised.

A 10 eprepen gar autw  For it was fitting for Him,

di on ta panta kai di ou ta panta
for whom are all things, and through whom are all things,

pollouV uiouV eiV doxan agagonta
in bringing many sons to glory,

ton archgon thV swthriaV autwn dia paqhmatwn teleiwsai
to perfect the author of their salvation through sufferings.

B 11 o te gar agiazwn kai oi agiazomenoi ex enoV panteV
For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father

di hn aitian ouk epaiscunetai adelfouV autouV kalein
for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,

12 legwn apaggelw to onoma sou toiV adelfoiV mou
saying, "I will proclaim Your name to My brethren,

en mesw ekklhsiaV umnhsw se
in the midst of the congregation I will sing Your praise."

13 kai palin egw esomai pepoiqwV ep autw
And again, "I will put My trust in Him."

kai palin idou egw kai ta paidia a moi edwken o qeoV
And again, "Behold, I and the children whom God has given Me."

C 14 epei oun ta paidia kekoinwnhken aimatoV kai sarkoV
Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood,

kai autoV paraplhsiwV metescen twn autwn
He Himself likewise also partook of the same,

D ina dia tou qanatou   that through death

katarghsh ton to kratoV econta tou qanatou tout estin ton diabolon
He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil;

D* 15 kai apallaxh toutouV osoi fobw qanatou
and might free those who through fear of death

dia pantoV tou zhn enocoi hsan douleiaV
were subject to slavery all their lives.

C* 16 ou gar dhpou aggelwn epilambanetai
For assuredly He does not give help to angels,

alla spermatoV abraam epilambanetai
but He gives help to the descendant of Abraham.

B* 17 oqen wfeilen kata panta toiV adelfoiV omoiwqhnai
Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things,
A* ina elehmwn genhtai kai pistoV arciereuV ta proV ton qeon
so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God,

eiV to ilaskesqai taV amartiaV tou laou
to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

18 en w gar peponqen autoV peirasqeiV
For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered,

dunatai toiV peirazomenoiV bohqhsai
He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted.
